Local Government

The Town of Carberry and the surrounding Rural Municipality of North Cypress have a long-standing relationship of co-operation, friendship and mutual prosperity. Together we have a combined population of 3400 residents, and we are growing together.

The Municipal Councils of the Town and the RM share many joint ventures and projects, but more importantly, share a common, progressive vision for the future. Joint Council meetings are held once a month on the fourth Tuesday. Many discussions are held and decisions made to benefit the entire region.

The RM of North Cypress Council meets regularly on the second Monday of each month. All meetings are open to the public. Delegations from the community often attend meetings asking for Council’s support or to brief Council on new initiatives.
