Carberry Plains Service for Seniors

The Carberry Plains Service of Seniors organization provides support services to retired seniors, handicapped individuals, the frail and at-risk elderly to enable them to maintain the ability to live independently in the RM of North Cypress and the Town of Carberry.

Services Provided:

• Communal meal program (Wednesdays at Noon at the Drop-In Centre)
• Thursday meal at the Carberry Plains Lodge
• Supper the last Friday of every month
• Visiting
• Letter Writing
• Transportation
• Errand Support
• Shopping
• Daily Hello
• Reading
• Footcare
• Recreation Programs
• Consumer Information and Resources
• Victoria Lifeline Emergency Response Units
• Handivan Bookings
• Distribution of Emergency Response Information Kits
• Income Supplement Forms
• Disabled Parking Permit Applications

Co-ordination of hired services such as:

• Companion Sitting
• Yard Care
• Snow Removal
• Minor Repairs
• House Cleaning
• Window, floor and wall washing

Handivan Services:

The Carberry Plains Service for Seniors also takes bookings for the Handivan Service. Fees are as follows:

• $6.00 for in town trips
• Out of town trips - $5.00 per person plus .50 cents per kilometre
