Camp Hughes

Come and visit Manitoba’s only National Historic Site dedicated to the First World War. A municipally run park by the Town of Carberry and the Municipality  of North Cypress-Langford known as the “Friend of Camp Hughes”.

Walk the training trenches to learn about the soldiers of the First World War.



The Camp Hughes Site is situated south of the Trans Canada Highway, 132 km west of Winnipeg near Provincial Road 351. Access to the cemetery and memorial plaque is via gravel road leading south from PR 351.  A “Camp Hughes Cemetery” and  a “Self Guided Tour Trenches” sign point the way.
