Garbage, Recycling & Transfer Station

Garbage Pick Up

Garbage Day Guidelines

Garbage Day is Tuesday!
That’s right, every Tuesday—Have your garbage out to the curb or lane by 7:00 AM.
  • 3 Bag Limit: Each household can set out up to three bags of garbage. Need more? No problem! You can grab extra garbage tags at the Town of Carberry Office for $2 each, or get a package of 10 for $20.
  • Construction Materials: Please, no construction items with your regular garbage. Those need to be taken to the Transfer Station for a fee.
  • Clean and Safe Garbage Cans: Think of it like spring cleaning for your garbage can! Make sure it’s clean and safe for our hardworking crew.
  • Weight Limit: We love a good workout, but let’s keep it reasonable. Make sure your bags or cans are under 50 lbs. If it’s too heavy for you to lift, it’s too heavy for us!
  • Yard Waste: We know you’re eager to get rid of those leaves and grass clippings, but sorry, yard waste won’t be collected with regular garbage. But don’t worry—there are special days in spring and fall just for your yard cleanup.
  • Hazardous Waste: Household hazardous waste isn’t picked up with regular garbage. This includes things like chemicals, paints, or anything else that could cause a headache for our workers.
  • Animal Waste: We’ll take small amounts of animal waste, but double or triple bag it, please!
  • No Furniture:  If you need to get rid of it, please make other arrangements.
  • Glass Recycling: Glass Recycling is picked up on the first Tuesday of each month. Please keep it separate from your regular garbage. We want to make sure your glass finds its way to the right place, not the trash heap!
Thanks for doing your part to keep our community clean and green.
