This beautiful green space located on the corner of Fanny Street and 1st Avenue is the location of a natural themed play structure and park, perfect for a family outing.
Erected in correlation to Carberry’s 125th birthday, heritage square offers an excellent green space to have your family barbeque, fundraisers and gatherings.

Carberry’s Day Lily Garden is located at the North End of Town by the Carberry Sign.
The land where the Day Lily Garden Park is located was donated by Murdo McDonald and family in memory of Noreen McDonald.
Gerald Blair donated hundreds of lilies from his private garden and Penny Shaw made his garden vision a reality.
There is a gorgeous pergola, picnic tables, an ideal place for a picnic, a dog run to let Fido fetch a ball, but most importantly a large garden.
The garden is divided into beds in a tree formation leading out from the foundation of a circular bed and a pergola. The beds house many varieties of flowers and shrubs with a particular emphasis of daylilies. Besides the daylilies, there are collections of irises & lilies, and a bed devoted to the efforts of junior gardeners.
From the stark stalks of the wintering shrubs to the breaking of the spring with its flowering shrubs and the start of the early blooming irises to the glorious display of summer’s lilies and day lilies to the fall blooming Michaelmas daisies and Autumn Joy sedums, the garden gives a never changing show through the year, and it never seems the same from one visit to the next.
Come out and enjoy the garden, and if you feel moved to give us a hand keeping the weeds at bay, feel free to pull a dandelion or remove some encroaching rye grass. Any Volunteer you see will cheerfully give you a hand, or answer (as best we can) your questions.
This area a beautiful spot to visit, shaded by majestic spruce trees, is the hot spot for the Carberry Farmers Market, running every Wednesday evening throughout the summer together with a BBQ and live entertainment.
In addition to the farmer’s market, the Carberry Communities in Bloom organization completed an excellent project in conjunction with the Town of Carberry to add a large picnic shelter that resembles the former CPR station which was torn down in 1971.
With a beautiful main street already highlighted by two blocks of beautiful brick buildings, coincidentally, the CP park can be found right at the end of these two majestic blocks of history.
It is easy to see the pride Carberry and the region feel towards the rich heritage in and around the community.
