Give your child the opportunity to build confidence, develop essential water safety skills, and have fun in the pool by registering for our swimming lessons through the Lifesaving Society. Our certified instructors provide quality instruction in a safe and supportive environment, helping swimmers of all ages and skill levels progress at their own pace. Whether your child is just starting out or looking to advance their swimming abilities, our lessons are designed to promote skill development, safety, and enjoyment in the water.

The National Lifeguard Pool Certification program focuses on developing the skills, knowledge, fitness, judgment, and professionalism needed to become an effective lifeguard. Participants learn essential lifeguarding techniques, safety principles, and decision-making skills required to supervise aquatic environments confidently and respond to emergencies. This nationally recognized training prepares candidates to provide safe, responsible, and effective supervision in swimming pool settings while promoting the highest standards of aquatic safety.

Swim For Life Instructor
Pre-requisites

15 years old (by the last day of the course)

The Swim for Life Instructor certification prepares candidates to teach and assess swimmers in the Swim for Life program, including the Swim Patrol levels. Throughout the course, participants gain valuable knowledge in teaching and learning techniques, lesson planning, swimmer evaluation, and instructional strategies. This training equips instructors with the skills and confidence needed to create engaging lessons, support swimmer development, and deliver high-quality aquatic education in a safe and positive environment.
NATIONAL LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATES MUST BE RENEWED EVERY 2 YEARS THROUGH THE RECERTIFICATION PROCESS.
RECERTIFICATION PROCESS:
- Instructors must successfully complete Swim for Life Instructor certification that is a minimum of 5-hours in length. Or;
- Have a current Lifesaving Society & First Aid Trainer appointment within five years from the expiry date.
