Emergency Preparedness Week

Each May, the Federal Government recognizes Emergency Preparedness Week, focusing on themes that encourage Canadians to be ready for emergencies.

In 2025, the theme was:
“Be Prepared. Know Your Risks.”
This theme reminds us to understand the risks in our area—such as severe weather, flooding, or power outages—and learn what actions we can take to protect ourselves and our households.
